When you have a camera in your hands, anything can happen. It’s just a question of whether you’re up to the task of observing and acknowledging that everything is worth your patience. I love dance floors – especially dark ones – where the lights seem to search for someone while touching and ignoring those who ignore them. But there is always a moment where the two meet and seem to be aware of each other, revealing both. People in this industry overthink and try to rationalize the whole day. Usually, they are the ones who say to me, ‘Why do you stay? It’s all the same after a while.’ Well, it isn’t.
